Dihydromyricetin, commonly called DHM, is a naturally occurring flavonoid found in the Japanese raisin tree and other plants traditionally used in East Asian wellness practices.

DHM has been studied for its potential role in supporting the body’s natural alcohol-metabolism pathways. Alcohol is processed in two main steps: alcohol dehydrogenase, or ADH, converts ethanol into acetaldehyde, and aldehyde dehydrogenase, or ALDH, then converts acetaldehyde into acetate. Preclinical research suggests that DHM may support the activity and expression of enzymes involved in this process.

DHM has also been studied for its interaction with GABA-A receptors, which are involved in the nervous system’s response to alcohol. Because much of this research is preclinical, additional human studies are needed to determine how these effects translate to people.

Beyond alcohol metabolism, preclinical research suggests that DHM may support liver health by helping protect against oxidative stress and unwanted fat accumulation associated with alcohol exposure.

Took these before a few nights of heavier drinking and woke up feeling noticeably less foggy than usual. The 90-count bottle lasts a while, and the capsules are easy to swallow even without food.

I was skeptical about liver supplements, but after three weeks of taking this DHM daily, my morning energy is noticeably steadier and my digestion feels less sluggish after heavier meals. The 90-count bottle lasts a solid month and the capsules go down without any weird aftertaste.

Started noticing better mornings after heavy dinners once I started taking this with a glass of water before bed. The capsules are small and easy to swallow, which is a huge plus for me. Already ordered a second bottle.
